Build a Ski-Fit Body. Ski longer, stronger — all season.

Train, strengthen, rehearse, and polish the exact movements your skiing demands — before you ever get to the ski area. Build the balance, strength, and movement awareness that let you ski longer, stronger, and with more control.

We didn't ask how to make skiers fitter. We looked at the movements skiing requires — and worked backwards.

Most "getting ski fit" means getting stronger, fitter, or spending more time in the gym. But skiing demands something far more specific.

Over the last 18 months inside the Harb Ski Academy, I've been reverse-engineering the movements, balance, strength, and physical abilities required for efficient skiing — and developing ways to train them before you ever get to the mountain. The result is a four-pillar system for building and maintaining a Ski-Fit Body, at any age.

Give me two months if you can. If you have less time, start today.

In the video, I explain how even two months of this kind of preparation changes your season — how quickly you learn, how readily you pick up movements, and how well you retain them.

If the snow is months away, you have time to build a strong foundation. If it's only a few weeks out, don't write that time off. Begin the Ski Fit Challenge now and bring whatever preparation you can to your first day on snow.

The Academy helps you make more of every ski day — and gives you a way to keep progressing all season long.

The 12-Week Ski Fit Challenge

Arrive on snow with a Ski-Fit Body

The Ski Fit Body program isn't just about building the strength and mobility to ski efficiently — though that's a core part of it. It's about restoring and activating the micro-muscles and movements you need to hold balance through the whole arc of a turn.

We also rehearse the movements you're going to use on snow. After about six weeks of training, we introduce plyometric work — the rebound you'll need for dynamic movements and the unexpected losses of balance where you have to be light and quick on your feet.

Short-radius bumps set you up for success on steeps. Start at home with body-weight exercises, start at your own level, and start the challenge at any time — there's no need to wait for the next group to begin.

Our coaches do this work too. Maintaining a Ski-Fit Body is part of what lets us demonstrate the movements we teach — well into our seventies.

The framework

More than a fitness program: four pillars for a Ski-Fit Body

An ongoing weekly challenge built around these four pillars — so you can prepare, make more of your coaching, and keep progressing all season.

Restore & Activate

Year-round practice for new and experienced PMTS skiers. Build your body and sharpen the mind-body connection that supports efficient skiing — and restore and activate the micro-muscles and movements you need to hold balance through the whole arc of a turn. Simple drills you can do at home, in the office, or on a walk.

01

Your Next 7 Days

Build the core strength, fitness, and movement capacity for your best turns on snow. This weekly program develops the Ski-Fit Body you need to ski longer, stronger, and with more control. Choose from Two-Day, Three-Day, Green, Blue, or Black — so you can just focus on your next seven days.

02

Two Smart Feet

Give us 15–20 minutes a few times a week and we'll build you two smart feet. With ski boots on, through indoor slantboard training, you rehearse all six phases of the turn and the Five Essentials — the timing, coordination, and muscle control efficient skiing demands. Movements that happen in a fraction of a second on snow, trained slowly and correctly, indoors.

03

Dynamic Feet

Develop speed, power, and real on-snow performance. Once you've built your foundation, move into the final phase — Dynamic Feet — where your training becomes dynamic: quicker turns, faster side-to-side movement, bumps and steeps, and the rebound you need to handle unexpected losses of balance with light, quick feet.

04

Through the season

Bring your questions to me — all season long

You don't have to figure it out alone between ski days.

Two live sessions every week

Join me live inside the Academy. We look closely at skiing, discuss training, and answer members' questions. You learn from your own questions and from the skiing and experiences of others.

Coaches & a community that cares

You'll find Academy coaches and a community of skiers who care about getting better. Post your training. Share your skiing video. Ask about the movement you're working on or something you want to understand before you get on snow.

Your coaches, between ski days

Think of it as bringing your coaches into your living room between trips to the mountain — so your questions don't have to wait until you're back on snow.

All season

One ski day ends. Your improvement continues all season.

Every ski day should build on the last.

Bring your feedback back into the Academy. Keep working on the movement your coach identified. Post another video when you get on snow. Ask the question that comes up when you try it on your own.

The Academy helps you make more of every ski day you have — this season, and the next.

In their words

Hear from campers who train in the Academy

Arrive ready to learn—from Monday’s first run to Friday’s last.

“In the fall, I joined the Academy to take advantage of the 12-Week Ski Fit Challenge before the Harb Blue/Dark Blue camp at Arapahoe Basin. I began with the Restore & Activate movements, concentrating on doing the exercises properly before ramping up.

When I arrived in Colorado, my conditioning was more than adequate to work through full mornings of PMTS coaching without running out of steam. I felt fully ready to learn from the first run on Monday through the final run on Friday.

I had energy for additional practice in the afternoons and never experienced the heavy morning soreness or joint stiffness from consecutive ski days—I skied 9 out of 10 days during my trip. Dryland work is essential to set the stage to receive the on-snow coaching at camp.”

Prepared with the 12-Week Ski Fit Challenge

My first day on skis felt like I did at the end of my previous season.

“I have had the pleasure of taking some weeklong Harb ski camps in the past and also some weeklong trips during the season. Consistently I noticed that around day three I would get quite tired and sore, and it became hard to focus or practice new movements.

This past year I did the Ski Fit Challenge on the Harb Ski Academy and WOW! My first day on skis felt like I did at the end of my previous season. I had so much more energy and strength that I was able to think and focus on my attempts to make correct movements. I was having fun right away!

I also felt I was at lower risk of injury as I was not skiing tired. 100% recommend the program—it is a game changer for anyone serious about skiing.”

Ski Fit Challenge → Camp energy & focus

A plan to follow that shaves hours off my learning on the slopes.

“I get the most out of ski camps by taking what I’ve learned and practising it for the rest of the ski day. I also like to pair up with other campers to learn from each other—the community aspect is very important to me.

During the off months, I tune into the shows while I’m out on my walks, then practise the exercises with my bands. The specificity of Harald’s strength and balance exercises is excellent. I used to just do weights at the gym, hoping some of it would help my skiing. Now I have a plan to follow.

Being a member has been an invaluable investment—it helps shave off learning hours on the slopes.”
